61 Print Studio is a new facility in the heart of Hampshire. We are a friendly, creative space for artists and printmakers of all abilities, from absolute beginner to experienced and awesome. We offer printmaking courses and workshops in a range of relief and intaglio techniques, as well as open access sessions for independent printmakers. In addition to this we run regular art clubs and printmaking sessions specifically designed for young people so that all ages are able to enjoy the experiences of printmaking.
Family Print Club - Linocut
This is a short, fun print session aimed at families. Adults and kids work alongside each other to print and create art, both experiencing the challenges and achievements of the creative process together. In this session you will learn how to carve your own Lino Block and use it to print amazing art works. It's a great way to spend some screen-free time together during half term.
Suitable for ages 8 to 108. All kids should be accompanied by an adult. All adults should be accompanied by a kid.
Just like the Monday workshop, this is aimed at families. This time we will be having a go at Tetrapak Printing. The foil lining of drinks cartons are more useful and creative than you might imagine. Tetrapak printing uses this material as a printing base. By cutting, scoring, scraping and inking we can produce beautiful and unusual prints. It's easier than you might expect, it's eco friendly and the results surprising, remarkable, and fabulous.
Suitable for ages 8 to 108. All kids should be accompanied by an adult. All adults should be accompanied by a kid.
If you or someone you know is interested in signing up to a series of lessons or a regular class then this is our current timetable.
Adult classes can be booked through the website. The youth programme is booked via email. This is because each class caters for a specific age group.
